National Grid is hiring a Senior Technical Inspector, Gas Work Methods and Standards, This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to our Waltham, MA locations

Job Purpose

To provide technical expertise from an inspection perspective. At the lower levels this will encompass a range of duties including inspection, testing, reporting and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. At the higher levels this role will also aid in the development of future inspection criteria, modifications to policies and cross train between Gas and Electric Material Inspections where applicable.

Key Accountabilities

• Conduct field operations work site inspections, including Maintenance and Construction field personnel inspections, and process audits and record reviews in order to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Collect, sort, and analyze inspection and audit data in order to identify deficiencies and overall patterns which may impact the quality and safety of operations, and provide recommendations to improve them.
• Maintain and Document all results in relevant databases.
• Report findings and coordinate material disposition.
• Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
• Strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop, maintain and manage relationships at all levels within the Company.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years field experience preferred in natural gas utility industry

More Information

Salary
$102,000 - $120,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
