We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Medical Billing and Coding Professional to join our team. This hybrid position allows flexibility of working remotely while requiring three days per week in the office and the other two days remotely. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in medical billing and coding and a strong understanding of current coding practices and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately code medical procedures, diagnoses, and services using CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes.
• Review medical records to ensure proper documentation and coding compliance.
• Submit and track insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursements.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and denials efficiently.
• Stay updated on coding changes, payer policies, and compliance regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to streamline coding and billing processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of medical billing and coding experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Proficient in medical coding software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines.
• Familiarity with payer-specific requirements and guidelines.

Work Environment:

• Remote work available for two days a week.
• In-office attendance is required for team collaboration and training.
