Job Description

Ohana Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! Our assistants play a vital role in fast-paced, high-quality patient care. In this urgent care environment, you'll assist with triage, support the veterinarian during exams and treatments, perform diagnostics, place IV catheters, administer medications, and monitor hospitalized or recovering patients. You'll also communicate clearly with clients, helping them understand their pet's condition and treatment plan with compassion and confidence. In this role, you'll work closely with your team to prioritize cases, follow the veterinarian's direction, and help ensure efficient patient flow. This position is ideal for assistants who thrive in a dynamic setting, are excellent multitaskers, and want to fully utilize their technical and communication skills. This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday. Full-time benefits and compensation**:

  • Compensation: $22-$28 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $500 - $2000 based on experience and licensure

Minimum qualifications and skill set: • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting • Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Blood draws
  • Catheter placement
  • Anesthesia induction and monitoring
  • Working as a team player
