Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a compact or MD RN license, as well as prior travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts with start times between 7:00 and 7:30 AM
• Weekday call required about once a week from 17:00-21:00
• Weekend call required approximately every 4-5 weeks from 09:00-14:00 both Saturday and Sunday
• Must be willing to float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed
• Skills such as starting IVs and PICC/Midline certification are preferred
• On-call shifts will include both weekday and weekend coverage
• Return staff policy requires a one-year gap for previous employees
• Training includes completion of modules before start and potentially during orientation
• A maximum of seven days' requested time off is strongly preferred per 13-week contract, and no time off is permitted during the first two weeks
• Acceptance of local candidates within 60 miles at a lower rate

Requirements

• Active RN license from MD or current compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology RN experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Experience required in interventional radiology, isolation precautions, and monitoring procedural sedation
• References from two supervisors required for consideration
