Prepares structural steel estimates and quantity take-offs from client and inhouse designs. Prepares quotation letters. Communicates and coordinates with sub-trades, and with internal departmentsincludingproject management, purchasing, engineering, drafting, and manufacturing,to ensure that projects are accurately estimated. Ensures that estimating-related correspondence and procedures are completed according to established guidelines. Reviews client provided drawings and specifications for incorporation into the estimate. Reviews the RFP/RFQ/RFI for proposal production and documentation guidelines. Attends virtual and in person client meetings when required. Complies with standards and procedures of PTWs health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years experience in structural estimating Experience in structural fabrication or project management is an asset. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications quickly and accurately. Strong working knowledge of structural codes and specifications. Strong working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word. Exceptional time management skills; ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly. Adaptable with dynamic workloads and changing priorities. Thrives well in a busy, deadline oriented work environment. Must be able to take initiative, work independently as well as in a team. Excellent organizational and communication skills. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be authorized to work in Canada. A valid Class 5 drivers license is required, as facility is not accessible by public transportation.
