Job Description

A contract position is available for a skilled social worker specializing in elementary school settings. This role involves providing essential social work services within an elementary school environment, supporting students academic and social-emotional success throughout the contract school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop intervention plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling to assist students in overcoming personal and social challenges.
• Facilitate access to community resources and services for students and families.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with school policies.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW) from an accredited institution.
• State licensure or certification as required for school social workers.
• Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Knowledge of community resources and child welfare practices.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
