Job Description

A full-time Social Worker position is available to support high school students in grades 9 through 12. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide impactful social work services within an educational setting, working closely with adolescents to address various social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, delivering individual and group counseling sessions
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to support students academic success and well-being
• Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and provide crisis intervention when needed
• Advocate for students needs and facilitate access to additional support services
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with professional and legal standards

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Social Worker License (LMSW or LCSW)
• Current Michigan School Social Worker Certification
• Experience working with adolescents in a school environment preferred
• Strong communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Location: This position is based in Sparta, Michigan, serving the local high school community.

This full-time role requires a commitment of 35 hours per week during the current school year (CSY). It is ideal for a dedicated social work professional passionate about supporting youth through their critical high school years.
