Job Description

A K-12 school in Elida, NM, is seeking a skilled professional with experience in counseling and social work to support students throughout the academic year. This contract position focuses on providing mental health services to promote the well-being and academic success of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions addressing mental health, social, and emotional challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop supportive intervention plans
• Conduct assessments and refer students to appropriate resources as needed
• Maintain confidential records and comply with all applicable regulations and policies
• Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive environment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed or certified as a Counselor or Social Worker with experience in school settings
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues in K-12 populations
• Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
• Excellent communication, crisis intervention, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with local mental health resources and community services

Location: Elida, New Mexico
Duration: Contract through the academic year (NSY)
