We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Sleep Medicine Lab Technician to join our team and help set a new standard for excellence in sleep medicine.
Position Summary:
The Sleep Medicine Lab Technician is responsible for performing overnight polysomnographic studies, monitoring sleep patterns, and ensuring high-quality data collection. This position requires attention to detail, excellent patient care, and the ability to work overnight shifts in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and calibrate diagnostic sleep equipment prior to patient arrival
Greet and explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and safety
Apply electrodes and sensors according to AASM standards
Monitor sleep studies and document accurate, real-time data
Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment or data recording issues
Perform split-night CPAP/BiPAP titration studies when indicated
Maintain accurate records and study documentation
Clean and maintain equipment per infection control protocols
Assist with scoring sleep studies (if trained and credentialed)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's in a related field preferred)
Completion of an accredited polysomnography program or equivalent clinical experience
RPSGT credential preferred , or eligibility to obtain within 6 months
Current BLS certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
High attention to detail and strong commitment to patient care
