Under the direct supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, the eDiscovery Specialist performs a broad range of tasks in connection with journey analytical paralegal duties associated with litigation handled by eDiscovery & Litigation Services (eDLS). The eDiscovery Specialist will provide consultative and document management services to attorneys and paralegals on litigation support systems such as Relativity, CaseMap, TextMap, TimeMap, Trial Director, LAW, and SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) accounts. They will work with legal teams in developing discovery plans and assist with data identification, collection, process, review, analysis and production of electronic evidence in administrative, investigation, litigation and public record requests matters.Please let us know how you heard about our position by taking this brief survey:

This position has been designated as eligible for telework and is currently a remote-centered position. The position may however requires in-person attendance on a reoccuring basis. The selected candidate would report to Department of Justice headquarters in Sacramento if/when required to attend mandated in-person meetings, trainings, etc. Expenses related to travel to the office for required events are the responsibility of the employee. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Knowledgeable in database and spreadsheet software systems, Relativity, Concordance, CaseMap, or other litigation support software; paralegal or law office training and experience; experience in the Office of the Attorney General or other large law office; experience developing document management and information management systems for large case and complex litigation; works well with team dynamics and self-motivated for individual projects; college education.
