As a Security Professional - Government Patrol in Montrose, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a government location, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and staff, playing a key role in creating a welcoming and secure environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing clear communication to those entering the premises. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your attentive presence and commitment to exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $21.59 - $22.59 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors at the front desk, providing a professional and courteous presence.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and maintaining visitor logs as required by site-specific policies.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, concerns, or unusual activities.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including following evacuation and/or lockdown procedures when appropriate.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide customer service to all individuals entering the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
