Public Information Officer Albany, NY Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for a Public Information Officer for our client located in the Albany, NY area. This full-time, on-site contract role supports digital communications initiatives within a key New York State agency, contributing to the effective presentation of information to the public. This newly created role will serve as the Public Information Officer focused on digital content for the Department's websites. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and posting approved digital content through a content management system (CMS), providing oversight and direction to data entry processors, and ensuring all digital communications meet NYSDOT and NYS style and content standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage digital content publishing on the Department’s websites using Drupal CMS Apply NYSDOT and NYS digital style guidelines to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity Provide direction and oversight to data entry processors to ensure quality control Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate public information Format and edit digital communications for a diverse range of audiences Manage multiple content-related projects under strict timelines Ensure web content aligns with broader agency communication strategies and goals Minimum Qualifications: Four (4) years of experience in public relations and digital communications, OR A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, or Digital Communications Substitution: An associate degree may substitute for two years of experience Preferred Qualifications: Strong writer and editor, able to distill complex information for general audiences Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills Demonstrated success managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments Strong visual, formatting, and layout design skills Experience with web content management systems, preferably Drupal Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative Salary: $55,000-$65,000 Fusco Personnel takes great pride in successfully matching talent and culture for our valued clients.
