Scope:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Procurement Manager to join our team. This fully on-site position is critical to the success of our procurement and operations functions, ensuring efficient flow of metals through all stages of acquisition, processing, and distribution.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience managing direct reports, handling end-to-end procurement processes, and overseeing the day-to-day operations related to metal purchasing and supply chain flow. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of procurement best practices within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the metal procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and vendor performance.
• Oversee the daily operations of metal flow, ensuring timely and efficient movement of materials across departments.
• Supervise and develop a team of direct reports; provide training, performance reviews, and leadership support.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure optimal supply without excess.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to streamline procurement and flow operations.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, operations, and people management in a metal, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of metal markets, supply chain dynamics, and vendor management.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
