POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
\nAssists in carrying out occupational therapy treatment programs for inpatients and outpatients under the direction and supervision of licensed occupational therapists. Assists with educational, administrative, managerial, and quality control duties. Performs technical work in all phases of patient treatment. Assists in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the patient care area, supplies and equipment in optimum condition to facilitate smooth operations. Participates effectively with other members of the health care team for maximum patient benefit and efficiency.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
\nAssociates Degree from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program. At least two years of experience as a licensed occupational therapy assistant is required. Meets clinical and leadership activities and behaviors as defined in the clinical ladder or equivalent.
LICENSURE
\nLicensure by the Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required. Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc is preferred. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card.
