Job Description: Under general supervision, responsible for general maintenance and landscaping at the RV Resort and daily pool cleaning and water testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mows, weeds, trims and fertilizes lawns
• Prunes and plants trees and shrubs
• Apply fertilizer to lawn
• Provides maintenance on irrigation timers and valves
• Operates power equipment including: mover, blower, weed eater, chain saw, pole saw, and chipper
• Cleans pool and/or spa daily and tests water for appropriate chemical levels
• Vacuum pool daily and clean skimmer baskets
• Maintain pool equipment (basic maintenance and repairs)
• Provides general maintenance to the resort
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge:

• Understand basic maintenance principles
• Must possess effective communication skills
• Operation of a front end loader, forklift, backhoe and other equipment as required

Ability to:

• Understand and carry out written and oral instructions
• Perform maintenance and repair activities
• Identify and communicate any maintenance related issues
• Appropriately use vehicles, equipment and various power and hand held tools
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Work independently or in a team environment

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain
• 1 year maintenance experience
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Requires lifting up to 75 lbs, extended periods of bending, stooping, squatting and occasional twisting
• Must be capable of working outdoors during seasonal heat and/or cold or other adverse weather conditions
