Overview The Kitchen Source is growing and is hiring Sales Designers that love to work with the end client and are passionate about the Kitchen and Bath Industry. The Sales Designer position is both a showroom and outdoor sales position offering our clients a personalized experience to identify the needs for their remodel or new construction project. A Sales Designer possesses the skills and experience to guide a customer through all phases of a project from space planning and product selection through installation and project completion. A Sales Designer must have in-depth knowledge of our cabinet lines, production installation process, and industry trends in order to deliver best in class solutions for our customers. A Sales Designer must be able to work with homeowners, builders, interior designers and other trade professionals, from the purchase of a new refrigerator to a whole house of cabinetry, fixtures, and appliances. Emphasis is on building and maintaining a relationship that creates a solid foundation for recurring sales and future growth. Job Type: Commission Duties and Responsibilities Showroom coverage in-store: walk-in customers and phone Produce sales to meet monthly targets towards achieving annual sales goal. Maintain gross profit margin above established minimums. Timely follow up and follow through on customer Establish payment terms with customers according to company policies and procedures. Maintain product knowledge and keep current with industry trends and innovations. Build and maintain relationships with builders, interior designers, and other trade professionals Ensure high quality service and customer satisfaction Willingness to meet outside office hours to meet customer needs Work closely with Technical Designer and Production team to ensure all aspects of the project are completed to the highest quality. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required (design curriculum desirable) Minimum 4 years of experience in Kitchen & Bath Design and Specifying (CKD or AKBD preferred) Must enjoy working in a team environment On-time, reliable attendance for scheduled work days Established sales performance and ability to create and grow new customer relationships Successful track record of selling a luxury or high-end product Knowledge of basic framing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems for informed design making in design layout decisions, cost considerations, etc. Knowledge of basic kitchen and bath NKBA design guidelines Working knowledge of the correct application considerations for various kitchen and bath equipment and materials Ongoing willingness to proactively seek out opportunities for continued education and personal development Ability to pick up on spoken and unspoken cues to accurately identify client priorities Ability to mediate and negotiate with multiple decision makers Willingness and ability to suggest solutions for a variety of budgets Job Type: Commission Company Since 1991, The Kitchen Source has provided client-focused design and transformation service to Dallas, Fort Worth and surrounding areas.
