Description

The Internal Communications Specialist plans, creates, and executes directives and communication functions through written, analytical, and web communications. Writes articles for and supports oversight of The Beat (enterprise communication software) to drive company strategy and business growth through content creation, analyzing engagement metrics, and strategy creation and execution. Organizes and assists with video/live production events and philanthropy projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Writes daily content for The Beat, the company’s internal communications platform and collaborates with key stakeholders for feedback and approvals.

• Provides strategic planning support for use of The Beat across all business units.

• Develops communication strategies, plans, and calendars to support company projects and key engagement initiatives.

• Supports the production of internal company videos and photoshoots through storyboarding, scripting, filming/ shooting, and editing.

• Acts as the communication lead in cross-functional project team meetings for a variety of projects relating to associate populations and other internal communications.

• Responsible for routing, proofreading, producing, scheduling, and distributing internal communication projects that support the company’s business priorities, shape employee engagement, and strengthen our culture.

• Compiles statistics on communication efforts and translates them into actionable insights and recommendations.

• Supports the planning and execution of company-wide virtual and in-person events to align with strategic initiatives. Includes theme creation, budget, vendor and contract management, event messaging, and oversight of all production aspects, including execution.

• Supports the planning and execution of company-wide philanthropy projects through communication, volunteer organization, and event planning.

• Provides art direction and feedback to graphic designers to ensure communications meet branding guidelines.

Qualification


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or related field required; or four years of equivalent work experience.

• Exceptional writing skills required. Ability to translate information and data into clear, engaging communications required. Social media writing and analytical experience preferred.

• Skill in proofreading and knowledge of editorial style guides (AP) preferred.

• Experience working with graphic designers and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

• Video production and editing experience preferred.

• Ability to pay attention to detail and organize work priorities required.

• Excellent project or event management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization.
