Drywall Repair Technician

The Patch Boys of St. Louis is looking to add a full-time multi-skilled drywall repair technician. We are a well-established and expert Drywall Repair Company. Our business is growing, and we are seeking experienced drywall repair, patching, and finishing technicians to join our team. This position requires creative thought and problem-solving on a daily basis and an ability to work effectively and efficiently without supervision. Although we pride ourselves in top-quality work, a start-to-finish control of your own worksite and customer service (including cleanliness and foot traffic, protection of customer property, etc.) is absolutely mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to texture and finish drywall and plaster services
• Ability and willingness to work on both new and existing walls and ceilings
• Ability to determine and identify proper materials and quantities for projects.
• Evaluate customer requests, troubleshoot customer issues and present a description of work to a customer.
• Fit and fasten wallboard or sheetrock into a specified position
• Measure, mark and cut materials, taking into account framing, drywall, and trim
• Install insulation in-between studs and attach a plastic moisture barrier over the installation, as required
• Remove old/damaged plaster, drywall, or paneling, as required

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years proven experience in hanging, installing, patching, repairing, and finishing drywall including texture matching (with references).
• Your own hand tools and knives.
• Must own a smartphone with a data plan.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Compensation: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
