About the Role
We are looking for an inspirational Director to serve as the chief executive of our organization. This role will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to promote our mission of advancing civil engineering. You will translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, drive innovation, and ensure the financial health of the Society. As the leader of a talented staff team, you will foster a high-performing culture aligned with our mission and serve as a trusted advisor to the Board of Directors.
As the public face of the organization, you will represent the Society to various stakeholders, advocating for civil engineering on a global scale. We seek candidates with at least 15 years of professional leadership experience, ideally with a background in civil engineering or a related field. A strong commitment to our mission is essential, along with expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and leading organizational change.
The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy, influential communicator, capable of building solid alliances and delivering value to members. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's or advanced degree is preferred. You should be prepared to motivate a diverse global network and travel regularly, including for international engagements.
