Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic child care teacher to join our team! This position is responsible for closing classrooms of all ages (6 weeks through 11 years) as well as being a substitute for staff absences if available. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with the opportunity to work more hours during staff absences if desired. Applicants should have a passion for working with children and be able to provide a safe, calm, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Duties

Responsibilities include actively supervising play time and helping children with their daily needs, including diapering, toilet training, and toileting, handwashing, and maintaining cleanliness. Staff must be able to clearly communicate with other staff members, parents/guardians, and children of all ages. Light cleaning duties and record keeping are also required.

Requirements

-must be at least 18 years of age (unless enrolled in an ECE vocational program)
-must have a high school diploma or GED, or be enrolled in the 2nd year of an ECE vocational program
-must successfully pass a state BCI and federal FBI child care background check
-must obtain a child care staff member physical from a medical provider
-must be able to bend, get down on the floor, and lift up to 40 pounds
-must be willing to complete state and employer required trainings annually
