NOV is hiring for a Buyer in the Houston. Plan, schedule, and release purchased parts and assemblies in alignment with company operating guidelines, ensuring compliance with objectives related to inventory management, sales volume, product cost, scheduling, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction

• Place orders and determine requirements from sales forecasts and actual orders.
• Expedite the filling of orders by suppliers to meet production.
• Administer basic procurement functions such as maintaining more than one source of supply, verifying that purchase orders link to demand, suggesting changes or adjustments in quantities to take advantage of price breaks, inventory, and trends.
• Release new quotations and procurement activities to support required delivery of component parts or services.
• Review and release purchase orders per the demand from regional sales teams to support manufacturing processes.
• Regularly update purchase order due dates based on fluctuations in logistics and the delivery schedules from vendors.
• Maintain and manage list of Orders that have risk to on time delivery.
• Create and maintain reports related to imports, tariffs and CBAM
• Process invoice discrepancies
• Participate in interdepartmental projects/activities as assigned
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures

• 3 years' experience in a supply chain management role
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with ERP system required
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of products
• Experience working within a QMS system of ISO 9001 and API Q1 an asset

• Some International Travel Required
