Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Brand & Digital Marketing, the Brand Manager will serve as the key leader of our South American wine portfolio including the iconic and historic Trapiche brand, as well as managing the strategy, launch and momentum of new-to-world wine brands from South America and other countries. This role will develop our long-term brand strategies specific to the United States and Canada and lead strategic business initiatives with the support of dynamic cross-functional teams. WX Brands has proven success building brands, and this role will be responsible for strategy and Go-to-Market for New-to-World Global brands launching in the US and Canada. This role is based out of Novato, CA (Marin County) and has great flexibility between working from home and working in our Novato, CA headquarters. We are currently operating with a hybrid schedule of M-W in-office. Key Focus Areas Act as a brand expert in the company with ownership of brand positioning and target consumer articulation for South American portfolio and New-to-World Global brands Develops short- and long-term global innovation strategy for New-to-World brands and oversees the execution/go to market strategy of all new product introductions Internal & External Brand Champion: primary advocate for the brands internally (management presentations, sales meetings) and externally (e.g. in front of key customers, PR events) Support Marketing Director in evaluation of all marketing activity to determine ROI and effectiveness of activity and help the organization understand how activity builds long term brand equity Development of long-term brand growth plan and annual business plans Support management of all outside agency initiatives including advertising, media, experiential, programming, packaging, and public relations where applicable Shared responsibility for the delivery of volume, share and profit objectives with P&L accountability for bottom line profitability Lead brand business analysis efforts; monitor performance using data to identify issues and opportunities and deliver insights Act as internal liaison with cross functional teams (Winemaking, Production, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Pricing, S&OP) Develop actionable insights from depletion & scan data on a weekly and monthly basis Requirements (Education & Experiences) Bachelors Degree in related field required; Masters Degree a plus 5+ years of brand marketing experience, ideally in the alcohol industry Understanding of the 3-tiered distribution system and a passion for the wine business Passion for building brands, including new-to-world brands, with a track record of breakthrough consumer advertising, retail activation, and media execution Experience creating new brand positioning, consumer articulation and strategy for new-to-world brands Proven success partnering with sales teams and mobilizing to achieve business goals Able to mobilize agencies around an inspiring vision and focused briefs Experience with syndicated data sources (Circana/Nielsen) to inform decisions Strong analytical skills with experience using trend analysis and quantitative data for actionable insights and P&L understanding Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative and ability to get things done Experience managing significant budgets Ability to travel within the US, Canada and occasionally internationally About Us With offices located around the world, WX offers a unique working environment, with the fast pace of an entrepreneurial start-up and the down-to-earth atmosphere found in the Northern California wine industry.
