Job Description The General Sales Manager is responsible for achieving financial metrics. This role requires an understanding of store CRM systems and the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues. The right candidate will develop and maintain customer relationships, training, and departmental growth. Additionally, the MGR GSM will collaborate with other departments to align with overall business objectives. Minimum Qualifications At least 2 years of proven auto sales management experience; 5 years preferred. Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving performance. Preferred Qualifications Reynolds & Reynolds experience. Familiarity with portfolio management tools such as Xtream or Auto Alert. Responsibilities Develop viable sales forecasts and associated sales strategies. Establish sales quotas and manage overall sales goals. Train, manage, and direct sales team so that they can meet goals and quotas. Ensure all sales targets are met or exceeded. Manage inventory in terms of display, pricing, and aging operational standards. Provide timely and accurate reports on all sales activities as needed. Motivate all dealership departments. Embrace diversity and foster an environment of respect for both customers and employees. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Leadership skills are crucial as the MGR GSM will be responsible for guiding a team and fostering a collaborative work environment. Excellent communication skills are necessary for effectively managing internal teams. Preferred skills, such as advanced negotiation techniques and strategic planning, will further enable the candidate to drive improvements and achieve organizational objectives.
